All are intended to limit the particulate exposure of First Receivers
and during an Officially Ordered Evacuation
Away from a CBRN Hot Zone or its Projected Plume Pathway and
When Current Conditions are Announced to be Within the Functional Limits of Level-C PPE with a P-100 HEPA PAPR.

Level-C PPE with Fallout PAPR

Helmet PAPR Headgear for Maximum Filtration and Comfort, Medium-size, OSHA APF 1000 (highest)

Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs) with
P-100 HEPA Particle-rated Filter Cartridges.
The airflow rate is like a gentle breeze.

A Powered Air-Purifying Respirator (PAPR), as defined by OSHA, reduces the wearer’s inhalation exposure to airborne contaminants by up to 25 to 1000 times the OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit when used in oxygen-sufficient, non-IDLH environments and in full compliance with OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standard
(29 CFR 1910.134).

Filtration Components
Particulate Filters
The primary function of particulate filters is to capture and remove dry airborne particles, including dust, fumes, and biological hazards, from the incoming airstream. These filters undergo rigorous testing and certification to ensure they meet strict performance standards for your protection.

Rating System
The classification system for PAPR filters follows a structured hierarchy:

- HE (High-Efficiency) filters must capture 99.97% of particles
- HEPA filters remove particles as small as 0.3 micrometers
- Chemical cartridges target specific gases and vapors

Systems Integration
The filtration components work harmoniously with the PAPR's motorized system, which pulls ambient air through the filters before delivering purified air to the user's breathing zone.
This creates a positive-pressure environment that provides superior respiratory protection.

The Level-C PPE configuration is a full-barrier particle precaution with premium components that meet the functional requirements of the FEMA Approved Equipment List.
Intended as a full-barrier precaution for hospital first receivers.

Also intended for use during an official evacuation from a
CBRN hot zone or its 100-mile projected plume pathway, and when announced that current conditions are within the functional limits of Level-C PPE with PAPR.

Level-C PPE with PAPR is not universal CBRN protection. It is appropriate only when the hazard assessment, oxygen level, contaminant type, concentration, filter/cartridge selection, medical clearance, training, and official incident guidance support the use of air-purifying respiratory protection. These configurations are not rated for chemical warfare agent exposure unless the specific ensemble, respirator, filters, and manufacturer documentation support that use.
